* Should you go for Vacuum or Magnetic attachment?
In general, the Combi rack with it's magnetic pad and Vacuum On Demand, is the quickest and easiest rack to use. However, it will only work on steel body vehicles and with more and more manufacturers making their bonnets out of aluminium (for weight saving), the Combi will not work on these.
What's the best way to check? Simply grab a magnet and test the bonnet for adhesion or sticking. Where is the best place to get a magnet? Off the fridge. The tradie's promotional magnets or any other fridge magnet will let you test your bonnet.
If your bonnet is aluminium, then the Quad rack or the original Multi Vac Rac are great options. Even the Pro Multi, currently on special, is a great option with a very solid hold down of two large suction bases.
